VEGETATION ASSESSMENTS, RED DATA SCANS & ECOLOGICAL SENSITIVITY MAPPING
Historically,
planning and developments did not include the natural environment and
consequently lead to the wasteful exploitation, destruction and contamination
of many natural environments. In
order to prevent further degradation, developments
should be planned in such a way, that
they make the best possible use of natural resources and avoid
degradation of
the environment. It is therefore necessary that environmental factors
be
considered during development planning. These should include studies
relating
to faunal and floral communities and their associated habitats, in
order to
identify and allocate the areas potential for conservation and
development. Eco Insight offers services such as vegetation
assessments, red data scans and ecological sensitivity mapping in order
to guide development planning.
